Skontrować docelowe zaklęcie instant lub sorcery. Jego kontroler odsłania karty z góry swojej biblioteki, aż odsłoni kartę instant lub sorcery. Ten gracz może zagrać tę kartę bez płacenia jej kosztu many. Następnie ten gracz tasuje.

Jak działa karta?

Spellshift kontruje docelowy instant lub sorcery, potem kontroler tamtego zaklęcia odsłania karty z biblioteki aż do pierwszego instantu/sorcery i może to zagrać za darmo; na końcu tasuje bibliotekę. Jeśli nie ma takiej karty, odsłania całą bibliotekę i ją tasuje. Jeśli odsłonięta karta nie zostanie zagrana, trafia z powrotem do biblioteki przed tasowaniem.

Ważne interakcje

Spellshift celuje w docelowy zaklęcie instant lub sorcery na stosie. Jeśli to zaklęcie może zostać skontrowane, Spellshift je kontruje — usuwa z stosu i wysyła na cmentarz. Jeśli nie może być skontrowane (np. ma ochronę, test kontrowania itp.), pozostaje na stosie i dalsza część efektu Spellshift i tak następuje.
Po skontrowaniu (lub niezależnie od tego, jeśli nie da się skontrować) kontroler tamtego zaklęcia odsłania karty z góry swojej biblioteki aż do pierwszego odsłoniętego instantu lub sorcery. Wszystkie odsłonięte karty są widoczne i pozostają odsłonięte podczas tej procedury.
Gdy odsłonięty zostanie instant albo sorcery, ten gracz może go wykonać (cast) bez płacenia kosztu many. To daję możliwość zagrana zaklęcia za darmo; jeśli gracz zdecyduje się go nie wykonać, karta zostaje potasowana z powrotem do biblioteki.
Po zakończeniu odsłaniania i ewentualnego zagrania odsłonięte karty, kontroler tasuje swoją bibliotekę.
Jeśli w bibliotece nie ma żadnego instantu ani sorcery, odsłania się całą bibliotekę (wszystkie karty), a następnie ją tasuje.

Częste pomyłki

Myślenie, że jeśli docelowe zaklęcie nie może być skontrowane, Spellshift nic nie robi — nadal następuje odsłanianie kart i możliwość zagrana.
Mylenie kolejności: odsłanianie i możliwość zagrania następują niezależnie od tego, czy zaklęcie zostało skontrowane, o ile Spellshift zostało poprawnie rozwiązane.
Jeśli odsłonięta karta nie zostanie zagrana, nie trafia automatycznie na stos ani na cmentarz — zostaje potasowana z powrotem do biblioteki przed tasowaniem.
Zapominanie, że odsłonięte karty (w tym te, które nie są instantami/sorcery) są widoczne dla wszystkich podczas procesu odsłaniania.

Przykład: Opponent castuje Lightning Bolt. Rzucasz Spellshift na Lightning Bolt. Bolt zostaje skontrowany (jeśli może być skontrowany). Twój przeciwnik odsłania karty z góry biblioteki, aż odsłoni instant lub sorcery — może to być np. Counterspell. Jeśli odsłoni Counterspell, może go zagrać bez płacenia many. Po wszystkim tasuje bibliotekę.
