Wyjaśnienie po polsku

Gingerbread Hunter // Puny Snack

Creature — Giant // Instant — Adventure

(Brak tekstu Oracle przekazanego. Patrz rulingi dotyczące zasad działania Adventure poniżej.)

Jak działa karta?

Puny Snack is the Adventure instant; casting it can exile the card so you may later cast the creature Gingerbread Hunter from exile. If the Adventure doesn’t resolve (is countered or otherwise removed from the stack), you don’t get to cast the creature.

To play Puny Snack (the Adventure half) you cast it as an instant spell. When that instant resolves, instead of going to the graveyard it is exiled; while it remains exiled you are allowed to cast the other half, Gingerbread Hunter, as a creature spell (normally during your main phase while the stack is empty). If the Adventure spell leaves the stack in any other way (for example it was countered or had all its targets become illegal), it won’t be exiled and you won’t be able to cast Gingerbread Hunter from exile.\n\nWhen casting the Adventure, use only the Adventure’s characteristics (its mana cost, color, mana value, card type — Instant — and text) to determine if you can cast it. If an effect copies the Adventure spell, that copy is exiled as it resolves and that copy cannot later be cast as a creature.\n\nIf an effect tells you to choose a card name, you may choose the Adventure name (Puny Snack). If an effect refers to “a card that has an Adventure,” it means the card with its Adventure characteristics, even if it isn’t currently on the stack as an Adventure. Finally, an adventurer card is treated as a normal permanent card (with its creature characteristics) in all zones except while it’s on the stack as an Adventure spell.

Ważne interakcje

To cast the Adventure (Puny Snack) you put that instant on the stack. If it resolves, it is exiled instead of going to the graveyard, and while exiled you may later cast the creature (Gingerbread Hunter) from exile as a creature spell.
If the Adventure spell is countered or otherwise doesn't resolve, it is not exiled and you can't cast the creature from exile later.
When casting the Adventure, use only the Adventure's characteristics (mana cost, color, name, type — here: an Instant). When/if you later cast the creature from exile, use the creature's normal characteristics.
If an effect asks you to choose a card name, you may choose the Adventure name (Puny Snack) as that name.
Effects that search for "a card that has an Adventure" refer to the card's Adventure characteristics even if the card isn't currently being used as an Adventure.

Częste pomyłki

Thinking that if the Adventure spell is countered it still goes to exile — it doesn't; only when it resolves is it exiled to allow casting the creature later.
Using the creature’s characteristics when casting the Adventure — you must use only the Adventure’s characteristics while casting it.
Assuming a copied Adventure spell (created by a copy effect) can be cast later as a creature — copies exiled on resolution cease to exist and can’t be cast as the permanent.

Przykład

Cast Puny Snack (the Adventure instant). If it resolves, exile it instead of putting it into the graveyard. While it’s exiled this way, you may cast Gingerbread Hunter (the creature) from exile as a creature spell.

You can't sacrifice a Food to pay multiple costs. For example, you can't sacrifice a Food token to activate its own ability and also to activate Maraleaf Rider's ability.

2024-11-08

Food is an artifact type. Even though it appears on some creatures, it's never a creature type.

2024-11-08

Whatever you do, don't eat the delicious cards.

2023-09-01

If an effect instructs you to choose a card name, you may choose the alternative Adventure name. Consider only the alternative characteristics to determine whether that is an appropriate name to choose.

2023-09-01

If an effect refers to a card, spell, or permanent that has an Adventure, it won't find an instant or sorcery spell on the stack that's been cast as an Adventure.

2023-09-01

If a spell is cast as an Adventure, its controller exiles it instead of putting it into its owner's graveyard as it resolves. For as long as it remains exiled, that player may cast it as a permanent spell. If an Adventure spell leaves the stack in any way other than resolving (most likely by being countered or by failing to resolve because its targets have all become illegal), that card won't be exiled and the spell's controller won't be able to cast it as a permanent later.

2023-09-01

If an adventurer card ends up in exile for any other reason than by exiling itself while resolving, it won't give you permission to cast it as a permanent spell.

2023-09-01

Casting a card as an Adventure isn't casting it for an alternative cost. Effects that allow you to cast a spell for an alternative cost or without paying its mana cost may allow you to apply those to the Adventure.

2023-09-01

If an object becomes a copy of an object that has an Adventure, the copy also has an Adventure. If it changes zones, it will either cease to exist (if it's a token) or cease to be a copy (if it's a nontoken permanent), and so you won't be able to cast it as an Adventure.

2023-09-01

If you cast an adventurer card as an Adventure, use only its alternative characteristics to determine whether it's legal to cast that spell. For example, if you control Johann, Apprentice Sorcerer ("Once each turn, you may cast an instant or sorcery spell from the top of your library.") and Questing Druid is on top of your library, you can cast Seek the Beast, but not Questing Druid.

2023-09-01

When casting a spell as an Adventure, use the alternative characteristics and ignore all of the card's normal characteristics. The spell's color, mana cost, mana value, and so on are determined by only those alternative characteristics. If the spell leaves the stack, it immediately resumes using its normal characteristics.

2023-09-01

If an effect copies an Adventure spell, that copy is exiled as it resolves. It ceases to exist as a state-based action; it's not possible to cast the copy as a permanent.

2023-09-01

You must still follow any timing restrictions and permissions for the permanent spell you cast from exile. Normally, you'll be able to cast it only during your main phase while the stack is empty.

2023-09-01

An effect may refer to a card, spell, or permanent that "has an Adventure." This refers to a card, spell, or permanent that has an adventurer card's set of alternative characteristics, even if they're not being used and even if that card was never cast as an Adventure.

2023-09-01

An adventurer card is a permanent card in every zone except the stack, as well as while on the stack if not cast as an Adventure. Ignore its alternative characteristics in those cases. For example, while it's in your graveyard, Questing Druid is a green creature card whose mana value is 2. It can't be the target of Tenacious Tomeseeker's triggered ability ("return target instant or sorcery card from your graveyard to your hand").
