Jak działa karta?

Zwraca do ręki celowany spell lub nieziemską stałą przeciwnika. Potem możesz bez płacenia many zagrać instant lub sorcery z ręki o mana value nie większym niż zwrócony obiekt. {X} liczy się jako 0 tam, gdzie dotyczy.

Zasady działania karty, krok po kroku: 1) Zagraj "Press the Enemy" jako instant i wybierz cel: target spell lub nonland permanent kontrolowany przez przeciwnika. 2) Gdy efekt się rozwiązuje, cel zostaje zwrócony do ręki jego właściciela. Jeśli celem był spell na stosie, zostaje z niego usunięty i nie rozwiąże się (nie jest counterowany — po prostu już nie leży na stosie). 3) Po zwróceniu celu masz możliwość (nie obowiązek) zagrania instantu lub sorcery z ręki bez płacenia jego kosztu many, pod warunkiem że jego mana value jest mniejsza lub równa mana value zwróconego spella lub stałej. 4) Przy porównywaniu mana value: jeśli zwrócona stała miała {X} w koszcie, X traktuje się jako 0 dla celu oceny mana value. Jeśli zwrócony spell miał {X} w koszcie, mana value tego spella to wartość X wybrana, gdy był rzucany (jeśli wcześniej był rzucany i X wybrano). 5) Gdy zagrywasz spell "without paying its mana cost": nie możesz płacić alternatywnych kosztów zamiast kosztu many (np. nie możesz zamiast zapłacić kosztu opcji), ale możesz zapłacić dobrowolne dodatkowe koszty (np. kicker). Ważne interakcje

Grasz "Press the Enemy" i wybierasz cel — albo spell na stosie przeciwnika, albo nieziemską stałą kontrolowaną przez przeciwnika.
Cel staje się celem efektu "Return target... to its owner's hand". Jeśli to spell na stosie, zostaje usunięty z stosu i wraca do ręki właściciela (nie jest kontraktowany).

Częste pomyłki

Mylenie "returned to hand" z "countered" — spell zwrócony z stosu nie jest kontraktowany, on po prostu nie leży już na stosie i nie rozwiąże się.
Myślenie, że można zapłacić alternatywne koszty zamiast "without paying its mana cost" — nie można. Można jednak zapłacić dodatkowe koszty (np. kicker).
Zapominanie, że jeśli zwrócony obiekt miał w koszcie, X = 0 przy ocenie jego mana value.
Jeśli zagrasz spell bez płacenia kosztu i on ma , musisz wybrać X = 0.

If a spell is returned to its owner's hand, it's removed from the stack and thus will not resolve. The spell isn't countered; it just no longer exists. This works against a spell that can't be countered.
