To ongoing scheme pozostaje odkryte na stosie schematów. Na początku twojego kroku końcowego wykonujesz dwie czynności w tej kolejności: najpierw kładziesz żeton zguby (doom counter) na tym schemacie, a potem schemat zadaje obrażenia równe liczbie żetonów zguby, które się na nim znajdują, graczowi spośród twoich przeciwników mającemu najwyższy wynik życia. Jeżeli dwóch lub więcej przeciwników ma taki sam najwyższy wynik życia, wybierasz jednego z nich jako odbiorcę obrażeń. Schemat zadaje obrażenia graczowi, nie traktuje tego jako celowania zaklęciami czy zdolnościami — jest to efekt, który wybiera cel tylko wtedy, gdy jest remis w najwyższym życiu.

Schemes are used only in the Archenemy variant. An ongoing scheme stays face up on the scheme stack after it resolves.
At the beginning of your end step — that is, during the phase step that ends your turn — you must first put a doom counter on this scheme, then the scheme deals damage.
The damage dealt is equal to the total number of doom counters on this scheme after you put the new one on it.
The damage target is the opponent (a single player) who currently has the highest life total among your opponents. If two or more opponents are tied for highest life total, you choose one of those tied players to be the target.

Częste pomyłki

Mylenie kolejności: najpierw kładziesz żeton zguby, potem zadajesz obrażenia — nie odwrotnie.
Zakładanie, że schemat zadaje obrażenia wszystkim przeciwnikom — zadaje je tylko jednemu, temu z najwyższym życiem (albo wybranemu przy remisie).
Traktowanie tego jak zaklęcia celujące: wybór gracza następuje tylko gdy jest remis w najwyższym życiu; w przeciwnym razie celem jest automatycznie przeciwnik z najwyższym życiem.

Przykład

Jeżeli na początku twojego kroku końcowego na tym schemacie nie ma żetonów zguby, najpierw kładziesz pierwszy żeton (teraz jest 1), a potem schemat zadaje 1 punkt obrażeń przeciwnikowi z najwyższym życiem. Na następne twoje końce będzie to odpowiednio 2, 3 itd.
