Wyjaśnienie po polsku

Hengegate Pathway // Mistgate Pathway

Land // Land

(Brak tekstu Oracle w dostarczonych danych — stosuj zasady modalnych kart dwustronnych z rulingów.)

Jak działa karta?

This is a modal double-faced land. When you play it, choose which face to use and evaluate only that face for legality, mana value and effects. It enters face-up if put onto the battlefield by an effect, and it can't be transformed.

To use this modal double-faced land you choose which face you are playing when you put it onto the battlefield. Treat only the chosen face's characteristics to determine whether you may play it and how it behaves. If an effect lets you play a land from among several cards, you may pick this card and play either Hengegate Pathway or Mistgate Pathway as long as the chosen face meets that effect's requirements. If an effect puts a double-faced card onto the battlefield, it will enter with its front face up (the face that is printed as the front). If that front face cannot legally enter the battlefield, the card doesn't enter. If an effect specifically says you may cast this card (rather than play it), you cannot play it as a land; you may only cast it as a spell if one face is a spell. Mana value and other characteristics are determined by the face you're considering (on the stack and battlefield use the face that is up; in other zones use the front face). The card cannot be transformed or put onto the battlefield transformed; ignore any instructions to transform it.

Ważne interakcje

To play this card as a land, choose one of its faces when you play it. Each face is evaluated separately for legality.
If an effect lets you play or cast from among cards, you may choose this modal double-faced card and play/cast whichever face fits the effect.
If an effect puts a double-faced card onto the battlefield, it enters with its front face up; if the front face can't be put onto the battlefield, the card doesn't enter.
When checking whether you may play a face of this card, look only at that face's characteristics (mana cost, types, etc.).
If an effect specifically allows you to cast the card (not play it), you may not play it as a land — you can only cast it as a spell if one face is a spell.
Mana value is based on the face being considered: on stack/battlefield use the up face; in other zones use the front face.
When a ruling or choice refers to the card's name, you may choose the name of either face. Linked effects use only the chosen name.
A modal double-faced card can't be transformed or enter the battlefield transformed; ignore any instructions to transform it.

Częste pomyłki

Thinking you must consider both faces' characteristics when determining legality — consider only the chosen face.
Believing you can cast the card as a spell and also play it as a land simultaneously — you choose one face and one action (play as land or cast as spell) as allowed by that face and the effect.
Trying to transform this card or put it onto the battlefield transformed — modal double-faced cards can't be transformed.

Przykład

If an effect says “play a land card from among these cards,” you may choose this card and play either Hengegate Pathway or Mistgate Pathway, whichever face fits the effect. If an effect says “put a double-faced card onto the battlefield,” the card will enter with its front face up; if the front face can't be put onto the battlefield, it doesn't enter.

2021-02-05

If an effect allows you to play a land or cast a spell from among a group of cards, you may play or cast a modal double-faced card with any face that fits the criteria of that effect.

2021-02-05

If an effect puts a double-faced card onto the battlefield, it enters with its front face up. If that front face can't be put onto the battlefield, it doesn't enter the battlefield.

2021-02-05

To determine whether it is legal to play a modal double-faced card, consider only the characteristics of the face you're playing and ignore the other face's characteristics.

2021-02-05

If an effect allows you to play a specific modal double-faced card, you may cast it as a spell or play it as a land, as determined by which face you choose to play. If an effect allows you to cast (rather than "play") a specific modal double-faced card, you can't play it as a land.

2021-02-05

There is a single triangle icon in the top left corner of the front face. There is a double triangle icon in the top left corner of the back face.

2021-02-05

The mana value of a modal double-faced card is based on the characteristics of the face that's being considered. On the stack and battlefield, consider whichever face is up. In all other zones, consider only the front face. This is different than how the mana value of a transforming double-faced card is determined.

2021-02-05

If an effect instructs a player to choose a card name, the name of either face may be chosen. If that effect or a linked ability refers to a spell with the chosen name being cast and/or a land with the chosen name being played, it considers only the chosen name, not the other face's name.

2021-02-05

In the Commander variant, a double-faced card's color identity is determined by the mana costs and mana symbols in the rules text of both faces combined. If either face has a color indicator or basic land type, those are also considered.

2021-02-05

A modal double-faced card can't be transformed or be put onto the battlefield transformed. Ignore any instruction to transform a modal double-faced card or to put one onto the battlefield transformed.
