When you cast this spell, you choose values for any variables in its instructions (here: the number X).
The spell puts onto the battlefield a single card named exactly Marwyn, the Nurturer and X separate cards each named exactly Llanowar Elves.
These are put directly onto the battlefield. They are not cast, so you don't pay mana costs, they don't go on the stack as spells, and enters-the-battlefield triggers see them enter the battlefield now.
If a card with the specified name doesn't exist in the game's card database (Oracle), the effect still tries to create a permanent with that name, but typically cards named in this way refer to existing card identities.
If an effect would replace or prevent cards entering the battlefield, that replacement applies to each card being put onto the battlefield.
If there isn't enough room in the battlefield (a zone is not size-limited in MTG rules), this normally doesn't prevent anything; the cards are still put onto the battlefield.
If the created permanents have characteristics missing from the instruction (for example, no mana cost, type line other than what the Oracle text indicates), they are created as the actual cards named (so their full characteristics come from the Oracle text of those named cards).
