Jak działa karta?

Możesz dobrać kartę, którą posiadasz poza grą (np. z sideboardu w turnieju), potem tracisz połowę życia (zaokrąglając w górę), a karta zostaje wyeksilowana.

Death Wish to sorcery o następującym działaniu, wiernie przetłumaczonym z Oracle: „Możesz wziąć kartę, którą posiadasz i która znajduje się poza grą, do swojej ręki. Tracisz połowę punktów życia, zaokrąglając w górę. Wyeksiluj Death Wish.”

Krok po kroku: gdy czar rozwiązuje się, najpierw możesz (to jest opcjonalne) wziąć jedną kartę, którą posiadasz i która aktualnie znajduje się „poza grą” (ang. outside the game) i umieścić ją w swojej ręce. Następnie tracisz połowę swojego życia, zaokrąglając w górę (np. przy 7 punktach życia tracisz 4). Na końcu Death Wish zostaje wyeksilowany (usunięty z gry).

Częste pomyłki

Mylenie "poza grą" z innymi strefami: karta musi być poza grą (w turnieju zwykle sideboard), nie z biblioteki ani z cmentarza.
Myślenie, że jeśli nie znajdziesz karty, nie tracisz życia — nawet jeśli nie weźmiesz żadnej karty, i tak tracisz połowę życia.
Próba zdobycia kart, które są wyłączone z gry (phased out) lub Ante — takie karty nie mogą być wzięte.

Przykład

Przykład: grasz Death Wish w turnieju sankcjonowanym i masz w sideboardzie kartę, której potrzebujesz — możesz ją wziąć do ręki. Jeśli masz 11 życia, po użyciu tracisz 6 życia (połowa 11 to 5,5 → zaokrąglone w górę do 6). Death Wish trafia do strefy wyeksilowanych kart.

In a sanctioned event, a card that's "outside the game" is one that's in your sideboard. In an unsanctioned event, you may choose any card from your collection.

Can't acquire cards that are phased out.

2007-05-01

If you fail to find something, you still lose half your life, rounded up.

2004-10-04

Can't acquire the Ante cards. They are considered still "in the game" as are cards in the library and the graveyard.
