- Ochrona (protection) przed danym typem stwora nie zapobiega zniszczeniu przez ten czar, ponieważ nie zadaje on obrażeń ani nie celuje.
- Czar wybiera typ stwora podczas zagrywania (na stosie); wybór nie jest dokonywany po rozwiązaniu czaru.
Częste pomyłki
- Mylenie momentu wyboru — typ wybiera się przy zagrywaniu czaru, nie po jego rozwiązaniu.
- Myślenie, że ochrona przed danym typem (protection) zapobiega zniszczeniu; ochrona nie chroni przed nienakierowanymi efektami zniszczenia.
