Mylenie +1/+1 z żetonem — Backup wkłada żeton +1/+1 na cel, nie zmienia stałych statystyk bezpośrednio.
Zakładanie, że token kopiuje Aury/Equipment lub żetony z oryginału — token kopiuje tylko wydrukowaną kartę (chyba że oryginał był tokenem lub kopią).
Myślenie, że tokeny zostały zadeklarowane jako atakujące przy deklaracji ataku — tokeni wchodzą już atakujące, ale nie uruchamiają efektów „kiedy ta istota atakuje” tej tury.
Zakładanie, że Backup nadaje wszystkie bieżące zdolności celu — Backup nadaje tylko konkretne zdolności wypisane pod nim w momencie, gdy zdolność Backup się wyzwala.

Przykład: Masz dwie atakujące istoty: A (zmodyfikowana) i B (niezmodyfikowana), oraz Mistrz w stylu lustra, który atakuje. The abilities that backup grants to the target creature are determined only once, at the time the ability triggers. They won’t change if the permanent with backup loses any abilities before the backup ability resolves.

If the copied creature is a token, the token that’s created copies the original characteristics of that token as stated by the effect that created that token.

It doesn’t copy whether that creature is tapped or untapped, whether it has any counters on it or Auras and Equipment attached to it, or any non-copy effects that have changed its power, toughness, types, color, and so on. (Basically, it won’t copy anything that made it modified in the first place. C’est la vie.)
