Even 1 damage dealt to a creature from a source with deathtouch is considered lethal damage, so any amount greater than that will cause excess damage to be dealt, even if the total amount of damage isn't greater than the creature's toughness. Note that a source of damage having deathtouch has no effect on damage dealt to planeswalkers.

Wyjaśnienie po polsku
Windswift Slice
Instant
Wybrana istota, którą kontrolujesz, zadaje obrażenia równe swojej mocy wybranej istocie, której nie kontrolujesz. Stwórz liczbę 1/1 zielonych tokenów istot Elf Wojownik równą ilości nadmiarowych obrażeń zadanych w ten sposób.
Jak działa karta?
Twoja istota zadaje obrażenia równe swojej mocy przeciwnikowi; jeśli to zadań więcej niż potrzeba, tworzysz 1/1 żetony równe nadmiarowi.
- Tworzenie żetonów: oblicz nadmiar obrażeń (ile obrażeń przekracza zabójczą ilość) i stwórz tyle 1/1 zielonych Elf Warriorów.
Zabójcza ilość to 3, więc nadmiar = 4 − 3 = 1. Tworzysz jednego 1/1 tokena Elfa Wojownika.

Excess damage has been dealt to a creature if the damage dealt to it is greater than lethal damage. Usually, this means damage greater than its toughness, although damage already marked on the creature is taken into account.
