Aura that forces the enchanted creature's controller to sacrifice it at their upkeep. When that creature dies, the controller of Necrotic Plague (at that moment) gets a triggered ability: the creature's controller chooses an opponent's creature as target, and Necrotic Plague returns from its owner's graveyard attached to that target if possible.

1) Enchant creature: This aura must be attached to a creature. If it becomes unattached and cannot legally enchant something, it will go to the graveyard as a state-based action.

2) Enchanted creature has "At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice this creature.": The aura grants the enchanted creature a triggered ability. "Your upkeep" means the upkeep of the creature's controller (the player who currently controls that creature), not necessarily the controller of Necrotic Plague. At the beginning of that player's upkeep the triggered ability goes on the stack and they must sacrifice that creature when it resolves. This is a mandatory trigger; it doesn't say "may."

3) When enchanted creature dies, its controller chooses target creature one of their opponents controls. Return this card from its owner's graveyard to the battlefield attached to that creature.: This is a triggered ability that triggers when the enchanted creature is put into a graveyard for any reason. The controller of Necrotic Plague at the time the enchanted creature is put into the graveyard is the controller of this triggered ability (even though the trigger text says "its controller chooses target" — that means the creature's controller chooses the target creature that is an opponent's creature). The player who controls Necrotic Plague's triggered ability is the one who will return Necrotic Plague from its owner's graveyard to the battlefield when the ability resolves.

- The choice of target must be a creature controlled by an opponent of the creature's controller. The ability is mandatory; a target must be chosen if one is available. If there is no legal target when the trigger goes on the stack, the ability still went on the stack but cannot be given a legal target and therefore will do nothing when it resolves and Necrotic Plague stays in its owner's graveyard.

- If a target was chosen but becomes illegal before resolution, the ability won't resolve and Necrotic Plague remains in its owner's graveyard.

- If Necrotic Plague and the enchanted creature are put into the graveyard at the same time, the trigger still sees the creature dying and will trigger. In that case Necrotic Plague can be returned from its owner's graveyard when the trigger resolves (subject to targets being legal).

- The card returns to the battlefield under the control of its controller (the player who controlled Necrotic Plague when the trigger was created), regardless of whose graveyard it was in.

Thinking the upkeep trigger uses the aura controller's upkeep — it uses the enchanted creature's controller's upkeep.
Believing the owner of the creature chooses the target of the death-trigger — the creature's controller chooses the target, but the triggered ability is controlled by the player who controlled Necrotic Plague when the creature died.
Assuming the ability will return Necrotic Plague even if there are no legal targets — if no legal target is available the ability does nothing and the card stays in the graveyard.
Assuming Necrotic Plague can't trigger if both it and the creature die at the same time — it still triggers when the creature is put into a graveyard, and can return from the owner's graveyard if the trigger resolves with a legal target.

The player that controls Necrotic Plague at the time the enchanted creature is put into a graveyard is the player who controls the last ability (even though that creature's controller is the one who chooses its target). The first player returns Necrotic Plague to the battlefield under their control, regardless of whose graveyard it was put into. Note that the ability is mandatory; a target must be chosen if able, and Necrotic Plague must be returned to the battlefield if able.

If no legal target can be chosen for Necrotic Plague's last ability, it just remains in its owner's graveyard. Similarly, if the targeted creature becomes an illegal target by the time the ability resolves, the ability doesn't resolve and Necrotic Plague remains in its owner's graveyard.

Necrotic Plague grants the sacrifice ability to the creature it's enchanting. That means it triggers at the beginning of the upkeep of the creature's controller (not necessarily Necrotic Plague's controller).

Necrotic Plague's last ability triggers when the enchanted creature is put into a graveyard for any reason, not just when it's sacrificed due to the ability it grants to that creature. It triggers if it and the creature it's enchanting are both put into the graveyard at the same time, or if the creature it's enchanting is put into the graveyard but Necrotic Plague isn't. (In the second case, Necrotic Plague is then put into the graveyard as a state-based action.)
