Split instant with two halves. You can cast one half, or from your hand you can pay both costs to cast both (fuse). Non-fused halves on the stack are only that half. Fused spells combine both halves and resolve left then right. Targets and timing follow normal rules for spells with multiple effects; effects that add abilities don't affect creatures that enter after resolution.

Ready // Willing is a split card with two instant halves. Each half can be cast separately by paying that half's mana cost. From your hand you may instead choose to cast both halves together (fuse) by paying both halves' mana costs; a fused cast puts a single spell on the stack whose characteristics are the combination of both halves. While on the stack, a non-fused half has only that half's characteristics and mana value; a fused spell has the combined instructions and combined mana value. When a fused Ready // Willing resolves, follow the left half's instructions first (Ready), then the right half's (Willing). If the fused spell has multiple targets, treat it like any spell with multiple targets: if all targets are illegal on resolution the spell does nothing; if at least one is legal the spell resolves and illegal targets are simply ignored. You may target the same object with both halves if each half can legally target it. Casting the card from any zone other than your hand prevents you from choosing to fuse it — you may only cast one half. If an effect lets you cast it without paying its mana cost from your hand, you may choose to fuse it without paying costs. Naming a split card counts as choosing either half's name (not both). Finally, effects that add abilities or grant effects on resolution (Ready or Willing) don't affect creatures that enter under your control after the half has already resolved.

A split card can be named by choosing either half's name, but not both; the card is considered to have the chosen name if one half matches.
Some split cards with halves of different colors become multicolored when fused (or while not on the stack); if only one half is cast, the spell is the color of that half. If both halves are multicolored, the card is multicolored in all cases.

Thinking that a non-fused split card on the stack has any characteristics of the other half — it does not.
Assuming a creature that enters after Willing resolves gains abilities granted by Willing — it does not.
Believing you can fuse the card when casting it from exile or graveyard — you can only fuse it when casting from your hand.
If a fused spell has multiple targets and some are illegal on resolution, assuming the whole spell is countered — only if all targets are illegal does the spell fail to resolve; otherwise it resolves and ignores illegal targets.
